Even our address on GPS may send you down the wrong roads so be sure to get directions from me before your trip! WE DO NOT SHIP except to other breeders, USDA RULES. Not under my control. We do offer delivery when we are able, at buyer's expense and usually much cheaper than a flight nanny.

Upon pick up of puppy, we ACCEPT ONLY CASH for final payment. *******IF YOU SHOW UP WITH ANYTHING ELSE, YOU'LL BE SENT TO THE LOCAL ATM TO GET CASH or you may forfeit pup and deposit.
We want ALL prospective buyers to come visit our home if possible. Visitors are allowed free access to handle our dogs & puppies to see their health, quality, and personality.
Pup's housebreaking is the buyer's responsibility, as are all additional puppy shots.
We use and highly recommend NuVet Plus Vitamins! Go to http://www.nuvet.com/45641 to order before you get your puppy home, or if you just want to learn more about it. Pups are on Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy. Be sure to buy a small bag before you bring puppy home, I don't want puppy food changed in the first month.. READ THE INGREDIENTS LABELS!! ** I don't recommend flour based dog treats, dogs get fat on empty calories but who is blamed? The breeder! Treats CAN be great for training though, so buy meat or veggie/fruit based treats from PawTree or why make your own homemade treats? SUPER EASY TO MAKE, grill or saute beef liver, (or any other red meat) until dried out. Cool, cut into small cubes and freeze in freezer bags. Many dogs also like raw or dehydrated fruits and vegetables such as raw carrots and dehydrated sweet potatos. Most of my dogs love to chew on deer antlers. Always do research to make sure what you plan to feed is safe for your dog.
For pet insurance, we recommend AKC's free month. I would like all my puppy buyers to cover their puppy for the first month, after that it's up to the buyer.
So you've decided you want one of our pups? You've called or emailed me to talk everything over with me, asked me to hold a pup until you can get a deposit to me, and want to know what to do next..... (Step 1) Read this ENTIRE page THOROUGHLY, then EMAIL your name, address, home, cell & emergency phone numbers, as well as a statement saying you have read & agree to all terms on my site as of the day of your email. At this point, I'll start holding your puppy or your place on the waiting list.
(Step 2) A non-refundable holding fee or deposit of $500 will hold (goes toward purchase price).
(3) We now accept Zelle and Venmo, cash app, personal check by UPS, PRIORITY mail with a tracking number)... (we also accept bank wire or walmart to walmart transfer if that's easier for you). For all mailed deposits, email me the tracking number within 1 business day after commitment to buy, unless we've mutually agreed on other terms in advance. It's imperative that you put your payment in the mail in a timely manner or you risk losing your puppy. **** REMEMBER: Your payment is a legal & binding contract & states you agree with the terms set forth on this site on the day mailed, INCLUDING THE GUARANTEE, so READ IT ALL THOROUGHLY! Deposit fee is non-refundable unless your puppy is not healthy at it's vet check. If circumstances change and you can't get a puppy when you planned and you let us know in a timely manner, we will put your money toward a future litter (at that point, your deposit is good for an additional year).
If (through no fault of mine) the buyer can't get their puppy when it's ready to go, buyer will incur $50 per week boarding fees. Healthy average sized pups are ready to go at 9.5 weeks (tinies have to stay longer). A week after I deem they're ready to go, if they're still not picked up, boarding fees go into effect, buyer will be informed well in advance so that they won't have any surprise expenses. This rule does not apply to older puppies or dogs that are sold at an older age.
NOTE: IF YOU MUST BRING YOUR DOGS WHEN YOU VISIT, PLEASE CONFINE THEM TO YOUR VEHICLE (THIS IS FOR YOUR DOG'S PROTECTION AS WELL AS OUR'S)! There's a very real possibility of passing new strains of bacteria back and forth! It's best not to bring your pets when you come to pick up your puppy.
STRAWBERRY RIVER HEALTH GUARANTEE/PET SALE CONTRACT
Strawberry River Kennel shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Breeder”. The original purchasing party, and solely the original purchasing party shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Buyer”. NOTE TO PURCHASE OF GOOD FAITH: All canines have the potential for genetic or congenital disease. Due to the nature of some diseases, they cannot always be eliminated. It is the job of the Breeder, through selective breeding, to try and minimize these conditions. This pup is being sold as a pet/companion only, no guarantee is made as to the disposition, conformation, temperament, trainability, size, weight, color or markings of pup. Health Guarantee is null and void if the pup is used for breeding during first year.
This Guarantee does not cover any of the following treatable conditions that may crop up after the sale: Internal or external parasites (Coccidiosis, Giardia, worms, Mites, Mange (except demodectic which is covered). This guarantee does not cover Hypoglycemia, Kennel Cough, Pneumonia, Allergies (food or skin (unless severe)), inguinal or umbilical hernias, Elongated Soft Palate, Undescended Testes, Luxated Patellas grade 1-2. This Guarantee does not cover elective surgeries. No Guarantee against contagious illness common to pups such as parvo or distemper, unless said illness is proven to come from Breeder's facility and pup is diagnosed within 5 days of purchase.
The Buyer is responsible for the daily health care and maintenance of pup, including all immunizations and examinations due after purchase, and providing necessary medication and follow-up treatments as veterinarian recommends or Guarantee is void. This Guarantee does not cover ANY veterinarian costs associated with care of pup. Buyer must keep records from veterinarian. In the event of serious genetic defect making pup unsuitable as pet, the Breeder shall replace pup with equal value pup within 120 days, (upon return of defective pup and all pup's original paperwork). If Buyer declines the replacement pup, then the Breeder shall be under no further obligation and has been released from all further claims. Buyer must return pup and pick up replacement pup at Breeder's home. NO PUP MAY BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT BREEDER'S PERMISSION UNLESS DEEMED BY VET TO BE REQUIRED DONE IMMEDIATELY! The Breeder is always willing to accept a pup/dog back in any event but will not guarantee any monetary refund (but a partial refund is possible in many cases).
In the event of litigation pertaining to the pup covered by this Guarantee, both the Breeder and the Buyer shall assume exclusive responsibility for their own attorney's costs. This Health Guarantee is hereby entered into exclusively and wholly executed in the State of Arkansas and litigation arising from any possible breach of this Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement shall be exclusively adjudicated in the County of Lawrence, in the State of Arkansas, exclusively under Arkansas law. All parties hereby submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of said courts. Should any provision of this agreement be held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall not be affected. This is the total agreement between Strawberry River Kennel and the Buyer, no other terms or conditions shall be valid to this sale unless added to this contract and both parties have initialed changes. The Buyer acknowledges that they have read, understands and agrees to the terms of this contract. This written agreement is a binding legal contract entered into in the State of Arkansas, County of Lawrence, according to and by Strawberry River Kennel Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement. By placing a deposit on a puppy, you are agreeing to all terms of Guarantee. The Buyer of said puppy, hereby acknowledge I accept the terms and conditions of the Health Guarantee for genetic/congenital disorders or disease printed in this document, I waive and relinquish any other rights that I might otherwise have in the event of such occurrence.
